In Zudello, it is possible to configure the level of access for each user within the system.
User Role
Users can be assigned one of two roles: Admin or Member.
Admin
Admin users have full access to the entire team configuration.
This includes access to:
-
- Users area
- Dimensions
- Approvals logic
- Team notifications
- Mailboxes
- All account details
In addition to configuration access, admin users can also:
-
-
- Revert documents
- Force approve documents
-
Member
Members do not have access to team settings.
Instead, members can view modules and documents that have been configured for their access.
By assigning users to appropriate roles, Zudello provides flexibility in managing access levels within the system.
Document Permissions
Document permissions determine the level of access users have to documents within the system. These permissions are independent of user roles and allow for granular control over document visibility and actions.
Full
Users with full access to a module can view all documents within that module and take action as per their assigned user roles.
i.e. in the scenario below, a user with full access to the tree module can view and act upon all documents within that module.
Note: the level of action will be determined by the user role.
Read Only
Users with read-only access can view documents but cannot perform any actions on them.
i.e. A user with read-only access to certain documents can view them but cannot edit or delete them.
Own-only
Documents are visible to users only if they are assigned to those documents. Unassigned documents are not visible to users.
i.e. A user can only view documents assigned to them and will not see documents not assigned to them.
Subsidiary Only
Users have access only to documents associated with a specific subsidiary within a module.
i.e. A user with access restricted to the purchasing module will only see documents associated with the subsidiary configured for that user.
Location Only
Users have access only to documents associated with a specific location within a module.
i.e. A user with access restricted to the purchasing module will only see documents associated with the location configured for that user.

Read Only Location
Users have read-only access to documents associated with a specific location within a module.
i.e. A user with read-only access restricted to the purchasing module will only be able to view documents associated with the location configured for that user.
Read Only Subsidiary
Users have read-only access to documents associated with a specific subsidiary within a module.
i.e. A user with read-only access restricted to the purchasing module will only be able to view documents associated with the subsidiary configured for that user.
None
Users have no permissions to view or interact with the module.
i.e. A user with no access to the sales module will not see it in their module list.
Mailbox Permissions
When managing mailboxes within a team, it is possible to make them private and limit access to only selected users.
Make a Mailbox Private:
-
Step 1:
Turn on the "private" toggle for the desired mailbox. -
Step 2:
Select the users who should have access to the private mailbox. -
Step 3:
Click "Update" to save the changes and apply the private settings to the mailbox.
By following these steps, you can ensure that only designated users have access to the private mailbox within the team.
